APPA TO MAPA HISTORY
APPA was established in the 1980’s as an association for physicians who had moved into in the pharmaceutical industry in Australia. It has since expanded to represent all professionals working in Medical Affairs across Australia and New Zealand. This includes field medical, medical advisors/managers and medical directors/leaders.
Collectively, our membership base of over 630 people represents over 90% of all Australian Medical Affairs professionals. Our members are committed to bringing innovative medicines to Australian patients by supporting the development, licensing, monitoring and marketing of these medicines. They also build relationships with the medical community to promote the pharmaceutical industry.
As APPA transitions to MAPA we hope to continue to represent and support our members to drive the professional standards of Medical Affairs in Australia and New Zealand.
